The Produced Water Society

What is the Produced Water Society?

The Produced Water Society is a collection of oil and gas professionals with the common mission to improve the management and disposition of produced water. Through the discussion of best practices and the presentation of advanced solutions to dynamic obstacles, PWS fosters an environment where water professionals learn from one another in an open setting and where the entire industry thrives as a result.

PWS has run an annual seminar in Houston for the past 28 years, the most recent of which was the Produced Water Society Seminar 2018. It is the preeminent authority on produced water treatment and management in on and offshore conventional production as well as upstream and midstream unconventional oil and gas.

Produced Water in The PermianWe are at a decisive point in the evolution of water management for the unconventional oil and gas sector. The midstream is redefining itself as a new industry. Chaotic small-scale trucking and storage operations are giving way to a new professionalism in the way water is delivered, conditioned, injected, recovered and reused within the shale plays.

The imperative to reduce costs while increasing production is accelerating the pace of innovation, creating new opportunities for suppliers and producers alike.

The Produced Water Society can help you to learn:

Which of the new midstream business models are most likely to triumph? What opportunities are being created for both new and existing players? How can operators and water providers best utilize these new service offerings?Where will the industry be in 12 months?
